Mary Davis
Lodge Director and Friend

"It was winter, of course, and I was tired. It had been a long day on the snow, and we had just driven up that morning. The wind was wild outside, and it seemed as though it would come in at any moment. Then the feast began, and it was delicious, warm, and filling. It gave me comfort and a sense that tomorrow would be a great day. After finishing I found Mary and thanked her sincerely with a warm hug.".

Mary was there with a sincere and warm hug
Cascade is, a family that draws in good strong people like Mary Davis

An anonymous quotation describes the memories of one of the finest directors we have seen at the Cascade lodge. Not only did Mary take charge of the meals, and the cleanliness of the lodge, she took on whatever she thought needed to be done her way. Which, as we can all assume, was the right way. Marketing, and spectacular meals for the club made Mary all the more part of what Cascade is, and that is a family that draws in good strong people like Mary Davis.

What we all want to know, Mary, is if you will be joining Cascade like a normal member now. We know, as well as you do, that we need good members like you. Although you won’t be paid, we can say that the funding will come from our hearts, and you’ll be paid with kinship and smiles. If that doesn’t cut it then join anyway, so you can relax and have someone else cook your meals. You’ll be paid with kinship and smiles
Thanks to Jim, your husband, for his help at the lodge Speaking of kinship and smiles, we will also miss Jim. We saw him as a part of the lodge, and can only give our thanks to his warm presence and hard work. We all remember your devotion and generosity, and we all remember what care you took of the lodge, and us. So we are thankful to you as part of Mary’s life at the lodge.
Hopefully we will be seeing these two in the winters to come. Either way they will be missed as regulars at the lodge. We will have to catch glimpses of them at functions when they’re surrounded by their fan club members. Maybe we can get autographs, or cameos of them at big events. They are some popular cats, along with our club mascot Maggie, their cat, among the Cascade members.

We’ll miss you Mary, and our hearts go out to you on this next chapter of your life.

We will be seeing these two in the winters to come
