About the Lodge Operations Manager position

 

 

This is a great opportunity for a hospitality management professional with food service or catering experience to oversee a private, member-based club. We are looking for a Manager/team member who is interested in providing a friendly, dynamic, and fun atmosphere to the membership. This position requires an individual who is entrusted to act with broad authority in the best interest of the membership. The Lodge Operations Manager is the welcoming face of Cascade Ski Club, ensuring member, Lodge and community expectations are met. The Manager is expected to be present and available in the Lodge weekly during high occupancy. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Lodge Business Manager.  CSC offers competitive pay and benefits depending on qualifications. Please let us know of your interest!

 

 

 

Salary and Benefits

 

 

·         Annual starting salary $55,000, depending on qualifications

 

 

·         $1000 annual ski pass stipend

 

 

·         $300/month health insurance stipend

 

 

·         Seasonal Bonus’s available for strong performers.

 

 

·         4 weeks’ vacation annually: 2 weeks end of winter season, 2 weeks end of summer season.

 

 

·         Relocation expenses not provided

 

 

 

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited t

 

 

  • Prepare and serve meals (breakfast, dinner, sack lunch) for up to 100 members and guests as well as organize Lodge special and holiday events.

     

  • Schedule and coordinate overnight lodging bookings.

     

  • Assist in soliciting new memberships and group bookings, perform Lodge tours, conduct new member orientation, and manage overnight bunk occupancy.

     

  • Provide extraordinary customer service through in-person, phone, email, social media, and postings on web page and in Club newsletter.

     

  • Ensure that the facility is clean and well maintained and prepare condition reports.

     

  • Track and report Lodge usage including revenue and expense, overnight lodging, food and beverage service.

     

  • Promote the Lodge mission in a professional manner.

     

  • Recommend staffing plan and directly supervise up to 3 summer contracted employees who will assist the manager in operations to ensure a smooth and memorable experience at the Lodge.

     

  • The Lodge Operations Manager is expected to live within 45 minutes of Government Camp, Oregon. A private on-site manager studio is available for occasional overnight use.

Minimum Requirements

 

 

The successful applicant must be able to perform all duties of the position and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

 

 

·         Minimum of 5 years in similar role or 3 years of hospitality management experience, 3 years of catering experience, bachelor's degree in business or hospitality management, or any combination which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job successfully.

 

 

·         Valid Food Handler’s card.

 

 

·         Ability to provide excellent customer/guest services.

 

 

·         Ability to prepare and serve meals to large and small groups.

 

 

·         Ability to schedule and coordinate overnight lodging bookings.

 

 

·         Knowledge and skill in facility maintenance and cleaning facilities.

 

 

·         Ability to plan, organize and coordinate the work of contractors and volunteers.

 

 

·         Ability to handle and report financial transactions, food and lodging service and cleaning/maintenance functions.

 

 

·         Ability to use computer programs including Microsoft office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel), HUB, and the Ring door access system.

 

 

·         Ability to comply with Lodge rules, local, state and federal laws.

 

 

·         Ability to maintain a positive hospitality and work environment free from harassment or intimidation.

 

 

·         Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing stairs, standing for long periods of time, and using a computer.

 

 

·         Will be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

 

·         Will be required to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.

 

 

·         Will be required to be on call when away from work.
