About the Lodge Business Manager
position
This is a great opportunity for a hospitality
marketing and business management professional to promote the services of a private,
member-based ski lodge. We are looking for a business manager to promote the
services of the Lodge to user groups. This is a part-time position,
approximately 6-700 hours per year. The Business Manager reports to the
President of the Cascade Ski Club Board of Directors. The Business Manager develops relationships
in the mountain recreation industry, conducts outreach to groups whose use is
compatible with the Lodge mission, contracts for Lodge meal and lodging
services, develops event plans and coordinates the delivery of services with
the Lodge Operations Manager. Please let us know of your interest!
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited t
·
Supports the mission of the
Cascade Ski Club and Lodge.
·
Conducts outreach and promotes
Lodge services with potential user groups.
·
Coordinates and leads site visits
with potential clients.
·
Develops detailed specifications
for group lodging, meal and catering services and negotiates contracts with
user groups and vendors.
·
Coordinates allocation of Lodge
facilities with clients, partners, the Lodge Operations Manager and the Cascade
Ski Club Board of Directors.

Develops and manages annual event plan and coordinates delivery of
services with the Lodge Operations Manager.
·
Supervises Lodge Operations
Manager and reviews and approves summer staffing plan.
·
Maintains communication with
clients and evaluates client satisfaction.
·
Establishes strong relationships with the surrounding community
and with other mountain recreation partners.
·
Reports monthly to Board of Directors sales forecasts, budgets,
usage reports and client satisfaction.
·
Reviews revenue, expenses and
invoicing. Reviews financial reports and coordinates with the Board Treasurer.
Desired Qualifications
·
Minimum of 3 years experience managing logistics and hospitality
for lodging, event, or restaurant facilities.
·
Minimum of 5 years experience serving customers or clients.
·
Able to plan and organize work, create timelines, budgets and
detailed event plans.
- Must have
excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
·
Able to understand the culture of the Lodge and the Government
Camp Community.
- Able to
build occupancy and cultivate referral sources.
- Able to demonstrate
effective follow-up with leads and referral sources.
- Must have
excellent time management and organizational skills.
·
Able to maintain a positive hospitality and work environment free from
harassment or intimidation.
- Must be
proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have the ability to
learn the Lodge’s software.
- Must
demonstrate integrity, maturity, and leadership skills, as well has as a
passion for working with groups.
- Must
maintain a well-groomed, professional business appearance.
